Federal Cafe & Bar has opened a third restaurant in Manchester city centre within the burgeoning Circle Square development behind Oxford Road.

The independently owned brunch brand regularly enjoys huge queues of eager customers outside its High Street and Deansgate branches, but this new venue promises an extended offering.

Customers will still be able to enjoy all the dishes Federal has become famous for, but owner Claudio Ribeiro has added an Antipodean-style lifestyle store to his new Circle Square unit. The dedicated retail space stocks Federal merch along with hard-to-find Aussie and New Zealand essentials like Tim Tam’s, Milo, Vegemite and Bonsoy.

Federal Lifestyle, on Oxford Road, will open from 7.30am (8am on weekends) serving their famous brunch dishes including the Manchester instagram favourite, French Toast; Steak & Eggs and Açai bowls. Ozone coffee and treats, including ‘Just Natas’ Pastel de Nata, Emily’s Banana Bread and Antipodean fave, their Anzac biscuits, will also be on offer alongside their newly launch Fed Beer, a hoppy session pale brewed in collaboration with Brightside Brewery.

Federal is the latest addition to the Circle Square development whose new restaurants and retail units including Hello Oriental food hall, Tahi New Zealand inspired eatery, Bird of Prey and live events venue, restaurant & bar, Canvas. Leeds-based North Brewing Co and Burger specialists Boo will also be taking up residence in the former BBC site.
