Centre of Excellence, based in Manchester, and its founder Sara Lou Ann Jones has been shortlisted for Scale Up Entrepreneur of the Year in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.  Centre of Excellence is an e-learning platform providing thousands of courses to customers in 30 different countries and has accumulated £6 million in turnover since it was founded. Sara founded the Centre of Excellence in 2013, when she was pregnant with her first child and reached her first million in just 16 months of starting the business.

Sara Lou-Ann Jones said “It’s really exciting to be shortlisted, the business has come such a long way in the last few years and all the hard work is now paying off. It’s great to be able to inspire as many people as possible to follow their dreams and to show them that no matter what your current circumstances you can always turn them around and create a life that you love.”

Sara’s achievements will be celebrated at the regional shortlist celebrations in Manchester on Thursday 15th November.

Creator of the Awards, Francesca James, said: “We have been inundated with some incredible entries this year, and all shortlisted applicants should be extremely proud of themselves! This year has yet again seen a record number of entrants and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.”
