The boy racer who killed a pregnant woman and her unborn child on the M66 has been jailed for a further three years by appeal court judges sitting in London this morning
The judges decided that the original sentence of 12 years for Adil Iqbal was unduly lenient and increased it to 15 years
Mother of two Frankie Hough was 17 weeks pregnant with her baby girl Neeve, and had been travelling in her car with her sons Thomas, 9, and Rocky, 2, and her nephew Tobias, 4, on May 13.
Iqbal lost control of his car while going more than 50mph above the 70mph limit and slammed into Frankie’s vehicle after she’d pulled over on the hard shoulder due to a punctured tyre.
