A man was restrained and threatened with a knife during a burglary in Radcliffe yesterday .

Three men in balaclavas broke into a property on Ulundi Street, where they attempted to restrain one of the occupants and threatened him with a knife, demanding cigarettes.

The three men had left the scene, and can be seen on CCTV footage running along the back of Ulundi Street, and along Abden Street in the direction of Coomassie Street.

A 39-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made, enquiries are ongoing, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything in the area at the time, or may have Ring Doorbell or CCTV footage.

Detective Inspector Alison Witkiewicz from GMP’s Bury District said: “This was an extremely distressing incident for the victim, and also very concerning for the community.

“We are investigating and additional officers will be visable in the area as we continue to carry out enquiries.

“We believe there were a fair amount of people in the area at the time, and we’re keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything, or have DashCam, or CCTV footage that could help our enquiries.
