A man will appear in court today has following reports of an assault in Salford on the Bridgewater Canal towpath in the early hours of Sunday 30 November 2025.
Colin Hanrahan aged 25 of Chester Road, Manchester, has been charged with Section 47 assault and strangulation.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester Crown Court today
