Multi-award-winning bakery Lovingly Artisan, will be kicking off their Sourdough September celebrations with all things sourdough on Saturday 02nd September at Altrincham Market as the bakery team mark 10 years of the Real Bread Campaign’s mission to help everyone, everywhere discover that life’s sweeter with sourdough!

To get things underway the Lovingly Artisan Bakery team are rolling into town with their iconic bread truck to dish out lots of free tasting samples of their breads; including the bakery’s new Northumberland Rye, as well as sharing in lots of bread related shenanigans with their customers throughout the day.

For the enthusiastic sourdough home baker the team will also be giving away Lovingly Artisan’s 30+ year old sourdough starter – all you need to do is bring along a clean jam jar and lid to seal the deal and the team will do the rest.

Multi-award-winning baker Aidan Monks will also be on hand to answer, fix, and solve any sourdough challenges you might have – so pop along and question away.

As you’d expect the bakery’s bread counters will be bursting with ancient grain, whole grain, and all manner of speciality sourdough loaves, as well as the usual helping of bread related banter.

And if you’re looking for brunch or lunch then why not take your taste buds on a little journey around Market House and pay a visit to one of the many tip top eateries including the likes of Tender Cow, Rubens, Pico’s Tacos, Honest Crust and the legendary Great North Pie Co.

So, pop a visit to Lovingly Artisan’s Bread Truck at Altrincham Market on the 02nd September and help the team share a little sourdough love this #SougdoughSeptember.

Catherine Connor, co-owner of Lovingly Artisan Bakery said:

‘’The Real Bread Campaign started Sourdough September 10 years ago to encourage home bakers to bake genuine sourdough bread, to encourage communities to support their small local artisan bakery crafting genuine sourdough breads, to give everyone access to ‘real bread’ by helping to raise awareness of ‘sourfaux’, and to help people make informed choices so they can avoid breads that really aren’t the real deal! Ever since the campaign’s launch it has successfully highlighted the benefits of genuine quality artisan sourdoughs including the numerous health benefits and also the benefits to the local community in terms of creating local jobs and supporting local businesses thereby helping to keep our high streets alive. Just some of the many reasons we fully support Sourdough September and Aidan is a Real Bread Ambassador.’’
