Additionally, a limited 25th Anniversary black vinyl edition of ‘Vini Reilly’ is available exclusively for Record Store Day on Saturday April 20th from participating record stores.

The Durutti Column were named after Spanish Civil War anarchist Buenaventura Durruti and a 1960s comic strip by the Situationists Internationale. Appearing on Factory’s inaugural release ‘A Factory Sample’ (a double 7” compilation also featuring Joy Division, John Dowie and Cabaret Voltaire), the band’s relationship with the label would last some twenty years and ten studio albums.

Essentially a solo project for native Mancunian Vini Reilly – once described by Red Hot Chili Peppers John Frusciante as “the best guitarist in the world” – The Durutti Column have influenced countless artists, and their music continues to resonate today with tens of millions of Spotify streams. Most recently, songs by The Durutti Column have appeared on the soundtracks to the acclaimed TV series’ ‘Master of None’ and ‘The Bear’.

February 19th, 2024: London Records today announce a very special 35th Anniversary Five Disc Edition of The Durutti Column’s 1989 album ‘Vini Reilly’, to be released April 19th and available to pre-order here.
