New 26,000 sq ft flagship, state-of-the-art bowling & gaming experience, King Pins, is set to open in Trafford Palazzo on July 17th, with bookings officially open today.

The ‘crown jewels of bowling’, has a plethora of activities on offer including 15 lanes of Ten Pin and six lanes of Duck Pin bowling (a shorter-laned, faster game of bowling, new to the UK), as well as shuffleboard, ice free curling, air hockey, karaoke booths and arcade games to entertain guests of all ages. It will also feature two independent food concessions, a full-service bar and its very own dessert kiosk.

The venue has confirmed that the two food partners joining the new flagship site include the Manchester-based pizza pros, PLY, and Asian street food favourites Little Bao Boy.

King Pins’ own dessert kiosk ‘Royal Treats’ will serve a huge selection of sweet snacks, from donuts and soft serve ice cream to endless Pick ‘N’ Mix. The new eye-catching bar in the venue will serve 20 different beers including from local Salford brewery, Seven Bro7hers, alongside a large variety of cocktails, alcohol-free options and homemade slushies.

PLY is famed for its non-traditional pizzas, using homemade dough created from ethically grown, UK-produced wild farmed flour. The menu will be packed with the best PLY pizzas including plant-based options, a special kids menu and a brand new King Pins pizza, exclusive to the venue. Carl Fraenkl-Rietti, co-owner of PLY, said: “We are very excited about partnering with King Pins and are looking forward to the launch this summer. PLY will be bringing its fun, fresh food to the venue, which is the perfect fit for us. We are all about bringing great vibes, and who doesn’t love playing games, drinking beer and cocktails with a slice of pizza in hand. “

Founded in Leeds, Little Bao Boy offers home-made bao buns and Asian food with a western, contemporary twist. Their King Pins concession will serve an abundance of baos  – from beef brisket to salt & pepper aubergine. James Ooi at Little Bao Boy, commented: “We are very excited to be opening our restaurant in Manchester alongside King Pins, especially after seeing such a huge success at our home site in Leeds and Manchester city centre. We can’t wait to start slinging out our Bao Buns from this amazing new venue and we are looking forward to being part of this exciting new launch at Trafford Palazzo.”.

James Travis, Brand Manager of King Pins, said: “We’re looking forward to finally opening King Pins this summer at Trafford Palazzo. The offering at King Pins is like no other, we are all about quality as opposed to outdated family fun. We can’t wait to showcase everything on offer, including a truly state-of-the-art bowling experience and some top tier local food vendors.”

“King Pins will be a place for the whole family to have fun, but equally the space will transform by night into an entertainment venue with music, drinks and bowling which is also perfect for adults looking for something different.”

King Pins is designed with all ages in mind, with a variety of activities on offer including 15 lanes of Ten Pin bowling, four lanes of Duck Pin bowling (a shorter-laned, faster game of bowling, new to the UK), shuffleboard, ice free curling, air hockey, karaoke rooms, arcade games galore and more.
