This spring, a new flagship, state-of-the-art family bowling and gaming venue, King Pins, is opening in Trafford Palazzo.

The ‘crown jewels of bowling’ has been designed for fans of all ages with a variety of activities on offer including 15 lanes of Ten Pin bowling, 6 lanes of Duck Pin bowling (a shorter-laned, faster game of bowling, new to the UK), shuffleboard, a mini RoboKeeper (a robotic football goalie who deflects your attempts at goal), ice free curling, air hockey, karaoke booths and arcade games galore.

The huge 26,000sq ft new venue will also to be home to two yet-to-be-revealed independent Manchester food traders. They will join the F&B line-up which offers something for the whole family alongside King Pins own dessert kiosk ‘Royal Treats’, which will offer a huge selection of sweet snacks including donuts, shakes, and endless Pick ‘N’ Mix.

King Pins is a family friendly venue during the day, but by night the lights will turn down and the music up. An eye-catching bar will serve 20 different beers including locals Salford brewery and Seven Bro7hers, alongside a variety of cocktails, alcohol-free options, and slushies.

Situated on the upper floor of Trafford Palazzo, the space is currently being kitted out by designers IDA (Inventive Design Associates), and will house the UK’s first 26-metre-long digital screen which will span the length of the 15 Ten Pin  lanes providing a new state-of-the art bowling experience.

Chief executive of King Pins, Matt Jones, said: “We’re looking forward to opening the crown jewels of bowling very soon. King Pins is a quality evolution of the rather outdated family bowling alleys. Guests will enjoy stunning-looking bowling lanes of course, but then there’s new interactive, fun games at every corner, fantastic local food operators serving up a tasty menu, plus a brilliant central bar and a great soundtrack.

“During the day, King Pins will be a place for the whole family to have fun, but by night the space will transform into an entertainment venue with music, drinks and bowling, perfect for adults looking for late night fun.”

Mark Whittaker, Executive Director, Property Investment Management at Peel L&P, said: “It is great to see the modern, high-class fit out of King Pins progressing at Trafford Palazzo. The October pop-up was received extremely well, and we know the site is going to be very popular amongst our customers.

“Attracting a tenant as high calibre as King Pins is testament to the environment and experiences we are fostering within Trafford Palazzo and Trafford City.

The venue will be located at Trafford Palazzo near to local venues Legoland® Discovery Centre, SEA LIFE and the forthcoming Nerf Experience.
