King Charles III was in Manchester today visiting Aviva Studios, home of Factory International, to meet the Factory Academy team and students

The visit was in aid of the fiftieth anniversary year of The King’s Trust and his Majesty met with young people and trainees from the Factory Academy and The King’s Trust Creative Futures programme.

The Creative Futures programme is a collaboration between The King’s Trust and Factory Academy launched in 2024 with The Elba Hope Foundation – a public charity founded by Idris and Sabrina Elba.

Creative Futures is a range of free courses designed to inspire young people in Manchester (and across the United Kingdom) through the arts, building their skills and confidence to work in the creative industries.

Through its Factory Academy initiative, Factory International is training the creative workforce of the future, delivering pioneering creative engagement and artist development programmes.

His Majesty spoke with our Factory Academy team, our Factory Academy students, and even had a go at some of the activities our students have been learning including some DJing
