The family of a cyclist who died following a collision in Bolton have paid tribute to him.

47 year old Kevin Harmon was killed when he was hit by a light blue Saab 93 Edge Lane, Horwich last thursday evening.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death whilst disqualified from driving. He has since been released under investigation.

Paying tribute to Kevin, his family said: “On the 1st July, life changed forever for the family and friends of Kev Harmon.

“A cyclist for over 25 years, Kev was riding with the wind in his face and the sun on his back when tragedy struck.

“A devoted family man, Kev leaves behind his wife Anne and their children Ewan and Grace. A much loved son to Pat and Tony, a loving brother to Rob and Andrew, a respected colleague and a friend to everyone he met.

“With a caring and easy going nature, Kev was quick to laugh and will be remembered by everyone for his big daft grin. His passing leaves a hole in the lives of so many.”
