INNSiDE Manchester, part of Meliá Hotels International, has launched a plant room pop-up for the summer at the city centre hotel.

A bedroom at the hotel has been given a leafy renovation with a curated collection of houseplants, from a local independent collaboration – available to book throughout the summer, on a first-come first-served basis.

This summer INNSiDE Manchester will provide a unique stay experience, with an aim to boost happiness as guests step into the Botanical bedroom. Not only do indoor plants enhance the overall appearance of the rooms they are in, but studies have shown they boost moods, increase creativity, reduce stress, and eliminate air pollutants — making for a healthier, happier you.

The Manchester Botanical plant room is in collaboration with independent plant and lifestyle store Northern Lights Home on Radium Street in the city’s Ancoats area. The Botanical Room has been curated by Northern Lights Home who has helped conceive and oversee the design of the greenery in the room; in addition to suggesting the best plant species that are most suited, based on the environment of the room, ambience, and seasonality.

Northern Lights Home is one of the most aesthetically pleasing plant and lifestyle boutiques in Manchester. From an Insta-worthy giant cheese plant to the quaint-looking ‘Burro’s Tail’, the shop is brimming with inspiration on how to inject some life into your home.

The collaboration is in keeping with INNSiDE by Meliá’s philosophy ‘Stay Curious’, which promises to accommodate guests’ every need with considered comforts and locally inspired experiences. To encourage guests to explore the local area, the Botanical Room also comes equipped with a QR code leading guests to external hotspots for gardens and parks in the community.

Commenting on the Botanical collaboration launch, Garry Fortune, Director of Operations INNSiDE UK North said, “We wanted to create something a little different for our guests – a bedroom offering that reflects a summer staycation, blooming with greenery and promoting a natural mood booster for those staying with us. The collaboration with Northern Lights Home draws on the Stay Curious ethos of INNSiDE; offering locally inspired experiences with a venturous difference.”

The summer Botanical Room is available at INNSiDE Manchester to book throughout August and into September 2022, with no additional costs. Guests staying in the Botanical Room will also receive a complimentary drink, the Floral Spritz, when they dine either in their room, at the bar or on the hotel’s Summer Terrace.  To book or upgrade please contact the hotel reception.
