Independent street food spot, Lucky Gyros, is set to open its doors in Manchester Arndale’s Food Court in August 2026, serving up a menu of vibrant Greek street food.
The brand, which was born in Manchester and has long been slinging out its signature street food at festivals like Parklife and Sounds of the City, is now taking the plunge and opening its first brick and mortar site. In doing so, it brings a dynamic new independent offering to Manchester Arndale’s Food Court, which has so far been dominated by global chains.
Equally suited to quick takeaway lunches on office days as to relaxed pitstops on shopping sprees in the city, Lucky Gyros is set to become a new go-to for those craving convenient yet quality, tasty dining in the city centre.
The menu, which centres around fresh ingredients and bold flavours, comprises a mix of dishes to suit all palates. The gyros themselves see a soft corn pitta filled with a choice of marinated meats, or veggie and vegan alternatives, paired with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and tzatziki, and topped with fries for good measure.
Beyond their namesake, Lucky Gyros will be serving up loaded gyros-inspired platters, punchy salad boxes, and hearty rice bowls. Sides meanwhile range from classic seasoned skin-on fries, to Greek Fries topped with tzatziki, feta and pomegranate seeds, plus a classic Hummus & Pitta combo.
“We’re so excited to be opening our very first Lucky Gyros site at Manchester Arndale Food Court,” says founder Michael Jebelli, an experienced local hospitality professional. “We’re really proud to be flying the flag for independents, delivering quality, tasty food at a comfortable price point. This is just the beginning for Lucky Gyros, and we can’t wait to see the brand continue to grow.”
David Allinson, Centre Director at Manchester Arndale, said: “Lucky Gyros is a fantastic addition to Manchester Arndale’s food court. With demand for a variety of flavours continues to grow, it is important that our food court offers visitors a mix of cuisines. Lucky Gyros brings something different to our line-up and we are sure it will be a hit with visitors.”
