The leader of the Green Party, Salford born Zak Polanski has said that he could work with a Labour Party led by Andy Burnham but not one led by Kier Starmer
Interviewed by the FT Polanski whose party has doubled its members in 2025, said he was open to co-operating with Labour under Mr Burnham to keep Reform UK out of power, but would not do so if Sir Keir remained in charge.
Polanski said he was sceptical of Mr Burnham, who he said had “been a chameleon” in his political career, shifting from being a Blairite in government to a more Left-wing figure as a mayor.
