After 70 years of service, Her Majesty The Queen has become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee! It’s an extra special weekend for our Queen, so Hyatt Manchester has curated a nostalgic menu of gorgeous Commonwealth-themed cocktails and dishes from the last seven decades; guaranteed to bring a royal wave of excitement to a weekend of majestic celebrations.
‘The Queens’ Commonwealth Selection Menu’ reflects the unique relationships Her Royal Highness has with a number of countries around the world; amongst others dishes it includes delicious banana, coconut & jackfruit mini tarts from Tuvalu, a Classic Canadian Poutine, Jamaican veggie patties with jerk sauce dip and Aussie Pie, and a traditional Australian meat pie.
And the menu of cocktails through the ages includes the 1950’s Margarita, a 1960’s Old Fashioned, and a 1970’s disco special – Pina Colada – it might not be HRH’s favourites, but they are absolutely some of ours. Or maybe you fancy and an Espresso Martini from the 1980’s or a Cosmopolitan (a la Carrie) from the 1990’s?
Come rain or shine, The Graduate Bar is a stunning setting, featuring a huge, light-filled atrium, a spacious, stylish lounge, and a delightful outdoor terrace – all decorated with bunting, great rolling footage and a jovial atmosphere! And with the Jubilee Weekend also coinciding with the Manchester Flower Show, expect extra special, fragrant floral displays too.
Served throughout the entire Jubilee Weekend (2-5th June) and then for the whole of the month of June, in The Graduate Bar, on the ground floor of Hyatt Regency Manchester, on Booth Street.
There’s a tipple and a nibble for everyone at Hyatt Manchester. Platters cost just £19 for thee dishes and cocktails start at just £10 per person. Show up anytime, or book ahead to reserve a leather banquette by emailing MANRM-Events@hyatt.com or tel. 0161 359 5550.
