Hotel Football and Stock Exchange Hotel Re-Opening post COVID-19

In light of the situation brought about by the COVID-19 virus, GG Hospitality took the decision to close the two hotels under its management temporarily in March 2020.

Gary Neville, co-owner of GG Hospitality announced on social media that both hotels, Hotel Football in Trafford and Stock Exchange Hotel in the City Centre would close their doors on Sunday the 22^nd of March to ensure that the health and welfare of its team members, as well as that of its guests, was safeguarded at all times. 

In the same announcement, Gary Neville also spoke on the decision that both hotels would be accommodating NHS healthcare workers and medical professionals free of charge from The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This was in order to provide them with a comfortable place to stay and remain safe while continuing the incredible work during a challenging time.

Throughout the pandemic, across both hotels, GG Hospitality has accommodated in excess of 300 NHS key workers. 

Following the government announcement on the 23^rd June that the hospitality sector will slowly start to re-open from the 4^th July, GG Hospitality has taken the decision that the doors to both Hotel Football and Stock Exchange Hotel will stay closed for a little while longer so they can continue to support the incredible NHS workers they have been housing for the last 4 months until they no longer require a place to stay.

Once the NHS key workers have left, the two hotels will spend time to thoroughly sanitise both properties and test new protocols and procedures to ensure that guests, team members and suppliers are kept as safe and comfortable as possible. 

GG Hospitality is working towards a re-opening date of the 28^th August for Stock Exchange Hotel and 1^st September for Hotel Football, although prior to this date Hotel Football will be hosting some unique private events.

We will be preparing our properties and continue to train all our team in the rigorous COVID-19 related safety protocols in the weeks ahead and are very much looking forward to welcoming our guests back to the hotels at the end of August/September. Even though the hotel doors are not officially open yet, members of the Hotel Football and Stock Exchange Hotel sales and commercial teams have returned to the business and will be dealing with any enquiries and focusing on driving as much business as possible for when both hotels re-open their doors in August and September.
