Hotel Brooklyn, is launching a fully vegan menu at Runyon’s Bar and Restaurant, to meet the ever-growing demand for plant-based alternatives and eco-conscious food choices.

The new and extensive vegan menu will feature authentic Brooklyn dishes inspired by New York and the option of a Brooklyn Veggie Afternoon Tea.

The vegan menu includes starters such as cauliflower wings in a buffalo sauce, chickpea bruschetta, quinoa meat tacos and corn soup. Main dishes feature falafel burgers (complete with beetroot hummus and pomegranate molasses), sweet potato curry, wild mushroom risotto (not forgetting the garlic crisps and truffle oil) and charred spiced cauliflower steak.

For those with a sweet tooth, delightful desserts include sweet pineapple carpaccio with red chilli, mint and coconut ice cream, warm chocolate brownies, New York cheesecake and a selection of sorbets.

Brooklyn’s Veggie Afternoon Tea, is super-indulgent – including veggie slider burgers, hummus and roast pimento bagels and grilled halloumi wraps, washed down with a Prosecco or a Brooklyn Heights cocktail. Delicious traditional desserts are also on offer – from vegan fruit scones to carrot cake, brownies and fruit smoothies: all adding up to an exquisite plant-powered menu.

“We feel that offering the option of a fully plant-based menu helps those preferring or requiring a vegan diet – they don’t have to ask anymore, it’s part of what we do”, says Head Chef Jimmy Williams.

Hotel Brooklyn celebrates its May reopening with amazing mid-week and multi-night savings including the Freedom Direct Deal, offering guests the chance to win a trip to New York.

Nightly rates at Hotel Brooklyn start from £130 for a Club Room on a bed and breakfast basis.
