HOME, Manchester’s centre for international contemporary culture, has welcomed over four million visitors since it opened in May 2015. Many have come far and wide to enjoy HOME its two theatres, five cinemas, art gallery, book shop and restaurants.

Now HOME Bar and Kitchen at HOME Mcr has launched a new menu which features a fresh and healthy ‘build your own’ section, alongside brunch, burgers, pizza, Sunday roasts and globally-inspired mains. Diners can enjoy a whole host of great value dishes for relaxed all-day dining, whatever the occasion. All are also available to dine in or takeaway for a tasty on-the-go lunch.

‘Thrills, Grills and Deli Plates’ (inspired in name by the Happy Mondays album ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’) allows diners to choose from a selection of vibrant salads with the option to add a protein element of their choice.

Salad dishes include a North African Buddha Bowl with spiced chickpeas, garlic roasted broccoli, courgette, spinach, roast pepper, seeds, pomegranate, harissa and lime dressing; the HOME superfood salad with quinoa, sweet potato, feta, peas, broccoli, cucumber, kale, seeds, maple, and wholegrain mustard dressing; or an Avocado Super Poke with basmati rice, carrots, sweetcorn, avocado, fresh mango, cucumber, lemon-wasabi dressing and sriracha mayo.

Choices of protein include Flat Iron Steak, Chalk Stream Hot Smoked Trout, Harissa Chicken and Falafel with Tahini, to name a few. These can be added to one of the salad bases or be served as a main with oven baked flatbread or a slice of multigrain bread, and seasonal salad. Diners can also double up their salad if they’re cutting down on carbs and don’t want bread.

HOME’s Dips & Homemade Tortillas include a selection of dips including beetroot and walnut, hummus, chilli salsa and guacamole served with crispy tortillas, made in house. Fresh seafood dishes include Garlic King Prawn Bruschetta and Salt and Pepper Squid with Roasted Garlic Aioli.

There are new classics to dig into like Steak Frites, a Royale with Cheese Burger and HOME chicken wings with either a Buffalo or Korean BBQ sauce. Plus Wild Mushroom and Puy Lentil Shepherd’s Pie, a veggie twist on a traditional British favourite.

Brunch dishes are served until 4pm and include new Shakshouka, a North African speciality with poached eggs in a spiced tomato and pepper sauce. Other brunch plates include Scrambled Silken Tofu with an avocado and rocket salad, Devilled Mushrooms on Granary Toast and a ‘Toastada’ with fried eggs, Serrano ham and Manchego cheese.

Regulars will be relieved to hear that HOME’s popular pizzas are staying on the menu with toppings ranging from a simple Margharita to more unique flavours like Lancashire Cheese & Onion, Greek Lamb and Buffalo Chicken. Feel free to swap to a gluten free base or vegan cheese, as well as extra toppings.
