It’s ‘snow’ joke, Bingsu, the snow-like Korean dessert, has now been added to the ever-growing range of incredible East Asian ice creams and sweet treats available at Hello Oriental.

Snow ice is a popular shaved ice dessert served across East Asia. Known as Bingsu in
Korea, Kakigori in Japan, and Hua Bing in Taiwan, this treat features fluffy,
finely shaved frozen milk or cream which resembles the texture of snow. It serves as a
perfect icy base for a variety of flavours and textures, complemented with toppings such
as fruit, syrups, condensed milk, rice cakes, and even ice cream.

The snowy delight sits alongside the soft serve teyaki ice-cream cones that have
appeared all over Instagram since Hello Oriental launched. The soft serve ice-creams
come in a regularly rotating list of flavours like Padnan, Rose Lychee or Vegan Charcoal
and are served in fish or teddy bear cones, topped with colourful sprinkles.

The top floor café has also recently started to offer Yee Kwan Ice Creams, in a variety of
East Asian-inspired flavors such as Black Sesame, Hong Kong Milk Tea, Egg Tart,
Malted Milk, Vietnamese Coffee, Toasted Coconut, Brown Sugar Boba, Chocolate Miso,
and a range of vegan options. These include flavours like Caramel Miso,
Matcha and Mango, as well as sorbet flavored with Yuzu and Dragonfruit.

Other exciting desserts coming to Hello Oriental include the UFO Brioche Ice Cream,
Vietnamese Che, Thai Ice Cream Bar, and iced Vietnamese coffee. Japanese Sandos
will also be available, made with soft and beautifully crafted bread, are also available,
filled with either sweet or savoury fillings.

These new additions are part of Hello Oriental’s plans to expand the bakery area on the
first floor. This transformation will showcase a wide selection of freshly baked goods,
including traditional Chinese pastries such as Dahn Taat (Egg custard tart), bor lor bao
(pineapple buns), and char siu bao – char siu roasted pork encased in a sweet bao bun.
Customers can also order bubble teas, slushies, Cantonese Roasts ready to grab and
go, or enjoy anything from the wider menu.

Located just off Oxford Road, around the corner from Hatch, Hello Oriental offers an
unrivalled experience across three storeys, featuring a restaurant, bar, cafe, events
space, and fully stocked supermarket.
