Situated on Manchester’s bustling Peter Street, Haunt MCR, which welcomes guests from sun up to sun down, is an all-day destination championing the power of time consciously spent, whether it’s for a Monday morning coffee or Friday night wine.

Open from 8am – 11pm on weekdays and 9am – 11pm on weekends, for walk-ins only, Haunt MCR provides exceptional coffee, cocktails, wines, beers and a casual dining menu comprised of breakfast, gourmet sandwiches, locally sourced sharing boards supplemented by weekly specials.

The drinks menu features a host of refreshing spritzes, with classics such as the Italian Spritz and Bellini, alongside playful new delights such as the PPP (Passoa, Pernod & Prosecco) Strawberry Spritz and Gran Turismo created by GM Martin ‘Tini’ Taylor as a liquid homage to the journey from Italy, through France and back to Old Blighty.

For cocktails, only the classics, inclusive of slight riffs, will do, with the Negroni, Boulevardier, Gin Martini and Espresso Martini.

For exceptional wines, Haunt’s exclusively Italian wine list will take guests on a journey from the North to South of Italy, showcasing the best of land and grape. There’s some familiar, firm favourites, supplemented with less known varietals – produced with limited intervention to highlight the terroir.

The house pour sparkling wine boasts the wonderful, F1 podium finish, Ferrari. A multi-award winning Italian sparking wine to rival any Grand Marque Champagne.

Haunt serves exceptional coffee supplied by North Star. So pop in for an espresso, flat white, latte or piccolo. All expressions are available in either drink in or take away format and can be served caffeine free.

For food, Haunt MCR will serve a mixture of small and large bites.

From sun up, Haunt’s breakfast bowls will start the day right with overnight oats, blueberry, peanut butter, banana and organic chocolate, and a range of locally sourced pastries.

For larger, lunchtime bites, delight in a range of artisanal sandwiches including Mortadella, Pistachio, Rucola, Tallegio, Pistachio Powder, Vine-ripe Smoked Tomato, Chilli Paste, Truffle Honey and Toasted Soft Goats Cheese, Pine Nuts, Fig Jam, Pecorino  Micro Herb Salad Pickled Butternut Squash. Also available are a variety of sharing boards comprising of locally sourced meats and cheese complemented by homemade golden beetroot relish and watermelon and spiced pear jam.

The menu is created by Head Chef Chris Smith, who has recently returned from a culinary pilgrimage around Scandinavia and returned home to his native Northwest. His passion for food shines through with his interpretations of modern British food.

With the introduction of the venue’s Apertivo Hour, due to commence on the 5th August, expect to see a drink friendly bar snack menu to highlight the wines and cocktails on offer. This will be available from 5pm-6pm Monday to Thursday.
