Tom Hartley has signed a new contract to extend his stay with the Red Rose until the end of the 2026 season.

The 24-year-old left-arm spinner is a product of Club’s pathway system who debuted in August 2020 and has made 76 appearances for the Club, taking 82 wickets.

Hartley has become a mainstay of the Vitality Blast side, taking 42 wickets from 56 matches as he helped Lancashire Lightning to two Finals Day appearances and he has also featured regularly in the County Championship during the last two seasons – claiming 40 dismissals.

His all-round game has continued to evolve in recent seasons, with Hartley playing a key role with the bat and in the field.

This led to Hartley making his full England debut during the One Day International series against Ireland in September 2023.

Hartley is currently in the United Arab Emirates with England’s Test squad and could be in line to make his Test Match debut against India later this month.

Speaking about his new contract, Tom Hartley said: “It is always a really nice feeling to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the Red Rose and I am looking forward to spending at least the next three seasons with my home county at Emirates Old Trafford.

“I have been really pleased with the opportunities to play regularly in the Vitality Blast and County Championship for Lancs during the last few years which has led to making my England ODI debut and then receiving my first call-up for the Test match squad.

“As a squad at Lancashire, we are all excited for the new season with an opportunity to work under a new Head Coach in Dale – as we look to push on and achieve our ultimate aims of bringing trophies back to the Club for our Members and the Lancs fans.”
