The National Football Museum is bringing together a series of fiendishly frightening festivities this October Half Term. Through spine-tingling storytelling, ghoulish games, and eerie exhibitions we’re embracing all things spooky in a programme packed with
imagination and creativity.

The ghosts of football past, present, and future

Every day this half term, step into the world of storytelling as actors step into the roles of the ghosts of football past, present, and future whilst roaming the galleries, embodying and sharing stories inspired by the collection.

26th Oct – 3rd Nov, 11:00-close

Frankenstein’s Mascot

Feeling creative? Based around sustainability and exploring characters, visitors are challenged with creating their own spooky mascot out of recycled materials. What team to they support? How do they look? What’s their backstory? Inspired by real football mascots,
this will be delivered as a drop-in activity on the Pitch Gallery.

26th Oct – 3rd Nov, 11:00-15:30

Alchemist’s Attic

The level 4 picnic area has been transformed into the alchemist’s laboratory, take part in experiments and explore objects from the collection as you’ve never seen them before.

26th Oct – 3rd Nov, 11:00-15:30

To add to this spooky smorgasbord, throughout the holidays, there will be a Halloween-themed twist to the penalty shootout activity, frightening photo opportunities, and perplexing puzzles dotted throughout the museum.

Tim Desmond, CEO at the National Football Museum, said: “This October half term we are exploring what ‘football creates’ means, in a fun and slightly spooky way. What better way to brighten your October half term season than by reliving some of football’s
greatest tales, channelling your inner mad scientist, and discovering the museum in a whole new light? We can’t wait to welcome you in for the holidays.”

All activities are included with your ticket, with Manchester City residents able to go free with proof of address.
