Elbow Frontman Guy Garvey and Peter Jobson, from legendary Manchester band I AM KLOOT, have written the title track for the new series of Cold Feet.
Producers approached Guy and Peter earlier this year after Cold Feet star, James Nesbitt personally asked Guy and Peter on Radio 2’s The Chris Evans’ Show to write a track for the new series.
Guy sings the lead vocal on the title track he and Peter wrote together called ‘The Rover Returns’.
Exec producer, Kenton Allen said: “We’re thrilled and flattered that these two iconic sons of Manchester wanted to write and perform an original song to mark the return of Cold Feet. Amazing music has always been part the show’s DNA and it’s great to give a nod to the rich musical heritage of Manchester with Guy and Pete’s beautiful new composition.”
Created and written by Mike Bullen the new series is expected to air this autumn on ITV.
