Manchester’s ultimate dining and leisure destination, The Great Northern Warehouse  is sorting out the city’s 19th July – or ‘Freedom Day’ –  plans by offering a range of exciting activities, not to mention some delicious dishes for everyone to enjoy.

Whether it’s the first queue at the bar, catching up with friends in a larger group simply enjoying a film at the cinema with minimal social distancing, The Great Northern Warehouse, as always, has plenty to offer from next Monday.

Impossible MCR

The wait is over… Great Northern Warehouse’s whimsical bar attraction Impossible is re-opening the dancefloor from Monday 19th July. Partnering up with Uncensored Manchester, this venue is excited to bring you their special Freedom Monday event. So, grab your pals and bring your best moves – this one is not to be missed.

Lane7

Want to do it all this Freedom Day? Pay a visit to Lane7. Great Northern Warehouse’s newest addition is much more than just a bowling alley – it’s also a venue where you can play ping-pong, shoot some pool and sing karaoke.  If good grub is what you’re after, book a table at the venue’s Fat Hippo Restaurant.

Platzki

Freedom never tasted so good at Great Northern Warehouse’s popular Polish restaurant, Platzki. This venue’s owners pride themselves on crafting dishes that are based on honest, locally sourced ingredients that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. Some of mouth-watering dishes available include mouth-watering Polish baked cheesecake to the sweet pierogi, Polish dumplings filled with cottage cheese and blueberries topped with butter and village sugar.

South Manny Flavaz

Freedom Day or not, Manchester’s independent food vendors still need to be supported, and South Manny Flavaz will appreciate all the love you give them – especially being the city’s youngest street food trader. Now, if you’re a chicken lover, simply look no further than this place. From finger-licking waffles, to burgers, to loaded fries – South Manny Flavaz offers it all.

Great Northern Beach Club

Whether you want to pre-drink before that big night out or enjoy an evening sipping on some delicious cocktails with ALL of your friends, Great Northern Beach Club has got you covered this Freedom Day. Dine and drink on their very own terrace, which promises to bring you “the best of the beach”. Here, except fruity frosés, refreshing pints, delicious bubbles and not to mention an idyllic atmosphere. You can also enjoy the night in the venue’s recently opened Sun Lounge, which features regular DJ sets and live music sessions.

Lion’s Den

The forecast is looking good for Freedom Day, and there’s no better place to catch those rays than at The Lion’s Den – Great Northern Warehouse’s very own suntrap. From July 19th, this place is dropping all of the COVID restrictions they had to adhere to for the past 16 months. Except live music, open-mic sessions, retro games and ice-cold pints late into the summer nights.

Odeon

You may just want to celebrate Freedom Day with a good old trip to the pictures. After all, you won’t have to worry about extensive social distancing, nor face mask requirements – meaning you can truly relax and watch a film in style. On the line-up next week, we have the latest Marvel flick Black Widow, the highly anticipated Fast and Furious 9, and new horror instalment The Forever Purge.

Whistle Punks

Want to do something different this Freedom Day? Get yourself to Whistle Punks and take part in axe-throwing sessions that are hosted by expert, kick-ass instructors. Whether you’re a newcomer or an experienced axe-thrower, Whistle Punk’s sessions are designed for everyone. Not to mention, you’re bound to have loads of fun here!

Evuna

You may not be celebrating Freedom Day in Spain, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring Spain to you. Deansgate’s very own Evuna has been pleasing Mancs for years with its range of scrumptious Spanish food. Here, you can expect fresh paellas, tasty pastas bravas and all the fragrant red wine.
