A free event is taking place next Thursday (26th August) bringing Manchester’s dog lovers together to celebrate Pride.
The Pooches of Pride Dog Show will be hosted in Angel Meadow Park from 4pm – 8pm and is part of the newly formed Ex-Paw community.
Proud dog parents can enter their pooches into a Pride themed show, with four fun categories to compete in including, ‘Loveliest Lady’, ‘Fabulous Fella’, ‘Most Alike Pair’ (dog and owner) and ‘Best Dressed’.
Anyone wanting to compete will need to enter via the registration section on the event page here.
Visitors can take snaps of themselves in a Pride photobooth, put their pets to the test with a ‘dogstacle course’, and browse pop-up stalls from some of Manchester’s best dog businesses, including KUB Dogwear, Hugo & Co and Sidney and Sapphire.
The event is sponsored by Far East Consortium, the developers behind MeadowSide – a housing development of more than 750 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, townhouses and penthouses overlooking the park.
Andrew Bradley-Nixon, sales and marketing director at FEC, said: “Events like Ex-Paw are important to continue to bring the local community back together as we all return to normality. It gives people a chance to bond over something we all love – dogs – while kicking off the all-important Pride celebrations.
“Angel Meadow Park is Manchester city centre’s largest green space and our Pooches of Pride event is one of many we’ve got planned over summer.”
