Firefighters have been tackling a blaze in Radcliffe earlier this evening
The blaze at the derelict Pioneer Mills on Milltown Street in Radcliffe saw a large plume of smoke visible in the area.
Residents nearby were advised to keep windows and doors closed, and the public should avoid the area while crews remain at the scene.
Operations have been scaled down this morning with the fire largely extinguished, but firefighters remain at the scene to put out the final hotspots and are working alongside partners, including Greater Manchester Police and Bury Council, to ensure the area is safe.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin later today.
