Give your tree extra sparkle this year – check out a brilliant ceramic gachapon vending machine filled with beautiful, handmade Christmas tree decorations, designed by local artist Amy Victoria Marsh, at New Maker Yards in Salford.

From Saturday 6 December to Sunday 21 December 2025, visitors can try their luck at the pastel-pink vending machine located in the reception at New Maker Yards, where they can purchase a beautifully crafted ceramic Christmas tree decoration for £7.50, with all proceeds donated to Diversity Role Models.

Each of the seven limited-edition festive designs has been created by Amy in her distinctive, playful and characterful style. Hidden among the 200 decorations is one extra-special find – a gold reindeer with a red nose, waiting to be discovered by one lucky visitor.

Each piece has been hand-made and individually finished, making each piece unique – a delightful addition to any Christmas tree or a thoughtful seasonal gift.

Not only that, but by adding a touch of handmade charm to your Christmas décor, you will be giving back to a good cause with all money raised donated to Diversity Role Models to promote understanding and acceptance of individual difference and end LGBTQ+ bullying in schools.

Visitors are encouraged to share their festive finds by tagging @newmakeryards on social media – whether it’s the rare gold reindeer or one of Amy’s other beautifully crafted ceramic characters bringing joy to their tree.

After picking up a decoration, guests can make an afternoon of it by grabbing a seasonal coffee or hot chocolate from 92 Degrees Coffee, conveniently located next door.
