Families are encouraged to hop into Merseyway this Easter to enjoy a host of eggcellent,
free family activities at the centre.

Taking place Saturday 16th April from 11am – 3pm, families can meet Hop the Easter Bunny and his best friend Milly, who will be singing and dancing whilst providing visitors with chocolate treats, ready for Easter Sunday.

Families can also take part in fun Easter-themed craft sessions, where children can create
their very own wooden hanging egg decorations.

The event will be taking place in Merseyway’s pop-up park, Merseywood, which is located
outside Primark within the centre. Filled with trees, plants, and picnic tables, alongside a
bespoke wooden story-time chair and musical instruments, Merseywood has been created
using a range of sustainable materials and will play host to lots of free, family-friendly
activities including craft and sustainability workshops until April 2022.

Created in collaboration with City Dressing and Merseyway-based community design studio
and woodwork specialists, EasyPeel at Merseyway Workshop, Merseywood forms part of
Stockport Council’s programme of activities to support Covid recovery, funded as part of the Government’s Welcome Back Fund, which is supported by the European Regional
Development Fund.
