Families are guaranteed seaside fun this summer as Merseyway hosts Merseybay – a free outdoor beach which will be open throughout the school summer holidays until 5th September 2021.

Open to children of all ages, the giant beach is located outside Primark and features buckets and spades for children to build sandcastles while parents can relax in provided deckchairs in the sun.

Children can also enjoy a selection of fun rides at the beach, including a Helter Skelter,
trampolines, juvenile chairs, jet rides and teacups, while families can grab a bite to eat from the food huts, which will be selling the best seaside dishes including fish and chips and candyfloss.*

Merseyway will also be hosting a Friday Club on the beach every week from 11am, where
children can enjoy free entertainment and activities. On Friday 30th July, children can take part in a free frog craft activity to celebrate the opening of the Giant Leap Frog Art Trail in
Stockport town centre, on Friday 6th August, Pippa the Pirate will be recruiting new pirates for her ship and will perform a sea shanty, children’s DJ Chris Mitchell will be visiting the beach on Friday 13th to host a range of musical games, while Captain Dan Tastic will also be hosting a variety of shows on Friday 20th.

Finally, don’t miss popular clown, Louby Lou on Friday 27th August as she will be guaranteeing a day of laughter at the beach for the whole family. There will also be a chance for families to win beach-themed prizes every Wednesday, as Merseyway hosts Spin to Win on the beach from 12pm – 1pm.
