Ofgem has announced that energy bills will fall by £117 a year from April.
The move follows a shake-up in charges by the government and means that the typical household will pay £1,641 per year
The fall comes after Rachel Reeves scrapped the Energy Company Obligation at the Budget and moved some costs to general taxation
