The Hilton Hotel based in Beetham Tower on Deansgate is to be taken over rival operator IHG Hotels & Resorts
What will become the intercontinental Manchester – Deansgate is expected to be fully rebranded by 2027, becoming the fifth InterContinental property in the UK and Ireland
The hotel will further cement IHG’s position as the largest global hotel company in the UK and Ireland, where it currently operates 363 open hotels and has 33 in development. The hotel will also expand IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the market, adding to its existing 27* open hotels, including its existing four InterContinental properties
Guests will have several high-end restaurants, retail outlets and a vibrant nightlife all on their doorstep. For business travellers visiting the city, the hotel will be in close proximity to Manchester’s main conference centre and Spinningfields, Manchester’s premier financial and professional services district say the new operators
the hotel will include 264 guestrooms, each with undisturbed views of the Manchester skyline, a large ground floor ‘podium’ bar and restaurant. The hotel will also feature an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, and fitness centre. InterContinental Manchester – Deansgate will also feature 18 meeting rooms, with a total event space of 1,821sq, catering to social gatherings and MICE opportunities.
