El Al has announced a new direct flight from Manchester Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport. The service is scheduled to start on the 26th May 2019.

Ben Gurion is conveniently located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, offering the perfect starting point to any city break, adventure or beach holiday in Israel. The new route from Manchester will offer a full-service airline departure from the north of the UK.

The new route is scheduled to start on the 26 May 2019, with three weekly flights on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

LY302/LY 301 – Manchester -Tel Aviv – Manchester will operate with a Boeing 737-800 offering two classes of service in business and economy cabins.

EL AL has released introductory promotional fares, which are available until 26th November:

Economy Class – From £199 – One Way – hand baggage only
Economy Class – From £289 – Return – hand baggage only
Business Class – From £929 – Return

For travel from 26 May 2019 until 11 July 2019 / 1 September until 24 September 2019.

Mr. Yariv Levin, Israel’s Minister of Tourism said

“We are delighted that El Al will be opening up a flight path from Manchester to Tel Aviv. With more carriers flying to Israel it is clear that there is an ever-increasing demand to visit our country, and we look forward to showing everything we have to offer to visitors in 2019”.

Mr. Amir Halevi, Director General of Israel Ministry of Tourism, added:

“We are very pleased with the arrival of the new flight path from Manchester. Not only have we have seen an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel, but also an increase in new routes opening all over the world. Our country has something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming more UK tourists next year”.

Julian Carr, Aviation Director at Manchester Airport, said:

“We are delighted to welcome El Al to Manchester Airport with flights to Tel Aviv. The carrier will offer the 22 million passengers in our vast catchment area more choice and accessibility to this part of the world. I am sure it will prove hugely popular and look forward to flights commencing next year.”
