Police have arrested a 24 year old man for assualt after a double stabbing in Chadderton yesterday
A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds where he remains in a critical condition.
A 42-year-old woman was also taken to hospital with facial injuries. She has since been discharged.
The offender made off on foot prior to police arrival.
Detective Chief Inspector Wes Knights of GMP’s Oldham CID, said: “This was a serious incident in which two people were brutally attacked, resulting in one man having to undergo surgery at hospital.
“We currently have a man in custody awaiting questioning and I would like to reassure the community that we are not searching for anyone else in relation to this incident.”
