Two men ages thirty eight and fifty have been arrested after a post office in Oldham and a hair salon in Middleton were hit by armed raiders on Saturday.

One of the men has also been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and attempted robbery after a 61 year old man was tied up and assaulted in his own home on Newbridge Lane in Stockport on Thursday 11 October 2018 and possession of class A and B drugs.

Detective Inspector Gina Brennand from GMP’s Stockport borough said: “Thanks to a swift investigation by our hardworking officers two men have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies over the past few days.

“We have also confiscated an imitation gun that we believe was used in the robberies.

“We may have made arrests but our investigation is in its early stages and I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any of these incidents or may hold information that could help police.”
