Colin Hoult brings his eccentric, witty, and wonderful alter-ego back into the theatres!

Fresh from an award-nominated, critically acclaimed, sold out run at Edinburgh Fringe, character comedian, actor and writer Colin Hoult brings his eccentric, witty, and wonderful alter-ego back into the theatres! Colin Hoult’s Anna Mann; actress, singer, welder (gotta have a backup) and siren of the stage and screen will be taking her final show The Death of Anna Mann, on tour around the UK following a smash-hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe which culminated in a Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show nomination.

While the grief for this comic creation may be fictional – it is a prominent theme throughout this final Anna Mann show.Colin’s personal experiences of grief, (he sadly lost his brother) and how we learn to deal with it, have hugely influenced the story, themes, and comedy of this new show.

After a really high-demand, and a sold-out show in Manchester on September 30th, he will be returning for another date at the Chapeltown Picture House on November 14th.

Colin Hoult is best known for starring in various projects alongside Ricky Gervais including Derek (Channel 4) After Life (Netflix) and Life’s Too Short (BBC). In After Life, Colin plays Ken Otley, the head of the local amateur dramatics company – where he was the reason Netflix was forced to step, in following a performance that led to one particular demand from subscribers.

During the scene, Ken launches into one of the songs from the fictional stage version of the Martin Scorsese’s ‘Taxi Driver’, which led to the streaming service receiving so many messages, it ended up tweeting: “Please stop asking when Taxi Driver: The Musical is coming to Netflix.”
