CitySuites’ vibrant brasserie and bar, Embankment Kitchen, reveals its Festive menu and opens Christmas bookings across November and December.

The perfect destination to get you into the festive spirit, dine with friends, family or colleagues.

Curated by Head Chef, Marika Healey, using the freshest ingredients from carefully selected
local suppliers, the Festive set menu features a collection of traditional festive dishes with a
twist in addition to options for the non-traditionalist diner. Indulge in three-courses for £35
per person, with the option to add on a glass of Champagne on arrival for an additional £8.

A special Christmas cocktail menu will also be on hand, including a winter warming Apple
Cider Hot Toddy.

Combining traditional glamour with contemporary twists to create a modern, cosy and
inviting atmosphere, Embankment Kitchen caters for private and corporate events. Their
private dining offers an intimate setting for up to 12 guests, and the whole restaurant -seating up to 77 guests – is available for private hires from lunch to dinner Sunday –
Wednesday.

Starters come in the form of honey roast parsnip and chestnut soup with carrot crisp,
salt baked golden beetroot carpaccio, candied walnuts, vegan cheese crumble, confit red
onion, sourdough croute, chilli, wholegrain mustard, orange and marjoram dressing.

Chicken liver and cognac parfait encased in a whipped clementine and black pepper butter, pumpkin seed rye bread toast, grape chutney, dressed rocket, tempura king prawns, cranberry, and chilli jam, and pigs in blankets coated in a honey bourbon and wholegrain mustard sauce.

For mains, tuck into a classic Christmas dinner in its finest form with all the trimmings –
Roast Cheshire Turkey, sage and candied orange peel stuffing, goose fat orange and
paprika roast potatoes, honey glazed parsnip and carrots, pigs in blankets sprouts in a
pancetta and chestnut butter, green beans, red wine, and cranberry jus. Non-traditionalists
opt for an 8oz 28-day aged sirloin steak, potato fondant, burnt shallot pure, buttered green
beans and shallots, honey glazed carrot and truffle jus or pan roast seabass fillets, bursting
with flavour, braised fennel, saffron infused dauphinoise potatoes, slow roast cherry tomato, lemon chive and prosecco cream sauce.

Vegans can enjoy a roast butternut squash, spinach and vegan cheese wellington, orange
and paprika roast potatoes, roast parsnip and carrots, butternut squash pure, sprouts and
chestnuts with a generous drizzle of vegan gravy.

And as it wouldn’t be Christmas if you’re not completely stuffed, finish off with Christmas
pudding with brandy sauce or for something a bit fruitier – red wine and vanilla poached pear with chocolate sauce, Chantilly cream or a zingy lemon tart, raspberry coulis and macerated raspberries. For chocolate lovers, give the chocolate and clementine torte a try, served with vanilla ice cream, hazelnut crumb or lemon sorbet, fruit compote, vanilla and red wine poached pear for something light and refreshing.
