The Mancunian, one of Manchester City’s dining hospitality spaces at the Etihad Stadium, will open its doors for artists around the city to play their music for guests pre-match, on a purpose-built stage.

Guests can enjoy an enhanced entertainment experience in the build-up to all home games this season, as The Mancunian now invites both up-and-coming and established artists to perform, starting with Paul Hand – whose cover of Blue Moon is played pre-match at the Etihad Stadium – at the first home game versus Huddersfield Town on Sunday 19th August.

The Mancunian is a hospitality space which prides itself on celebrating the musical heritage of Manchester. The space has been redeveloped to accommodate high-quality staging, lighting and sounding systems for the artists to reflect the city’s music scene.

As well as this, The Mancunian boasts immersive music displays and memorabilia around the restaurant, collected with the help of SJM Concerts, which pay homage to famous artists from Manchester and all over the world who have headlined at the Etihad Stadium and Maine Road.

Danny Wilson, Operations Director at Manchester City, commented on the new development:

“We are delighted to offer live music in The Mancunian. We have always been proud to celebrate the rich musical history of the city in this space and we hope that giving artists a platform to share their talent will further enrich the matchday experience we provide at the Etihad Stadium.

Football and music are integral to Manchester’s culture. We hope that live performances will add something special to matchdays for our guests, providing memorable moments off the pitch to match those on it.”
