The Liberal Party under the leadership of former head of the Bank of England Mark Carney in a remarkable comeback has won a 4th consecutive term and the 2025 Canadian Federal Election.
Carney stood on maintaining a tough approach against Donald Trump’s threats over trade and sovereignty
Speaking to supporters in Ottawa, Mr Carney, the former governor of the Bank of England, said Trump was trying to “break” Canada but that he would not let that happen.
“President Trump is trying to break us so that America can own us, that will never ever happen,” he told the crowd.
