The property and development Company have been unsurprisingly named after no other organisations decided to bid.
The partners, Network Rail and Manchester City Council, will be working closely with Bruntwood to agree a development framework for the site. The vision for the site is to create an exciting mixed-use district that supports the growth of Manchester’s knowledge-based economy and the Northern Powerhouse. Proposals are expected to include significant improvements to the Grade II listed Oxford Road Station.
Bruntwood, Network Rail and the Council are aligned to ensure that the redevelopment of this scheme and the Northern Hub proposals are developed strategically to both improve access to, and increase capacity of the station.

By working with Manchester City Council we can unlock valuable land around Manchester Oxford Road Station and dramatically improve the experience for passengers whilst delivering much-needed new homes, jobs and economic growth.”
Bruntwood have worked with Manchester City Council on numerous schemes over the last 30 years, pioneering improvements across the city, and are currently working with Network Rail on the redevelopment of City House in Leeds.
