Wilmslow’s iconic nightlife has seen many changes over the past 10 years but Revolution has remained the beating heart

Wilmslow’s iconic nightlife has seen many changes over the past 10 years, but whilst countless venues have come and gone, Revolution has remained the beating heart of the town’s thriving bar scene.

Never a brand to rest on its laurels, the ever-popular venue has closed its doors temporarily as it undergoes a remarkable £200K makeover. The revamp will include state of the art special effect lighting, specially commissioned wall murals, 3D artwork and plush new seating throughout.

Another new addition is the ultra-VIP ‘Best Seat in the House’ area, which is sponsored by iconic global vodka brand, Ciroc. Destined to be the hottest seat in Wilmslow, it’s the perfect spot to sip premium vodka cocktails whilst soaking up the electric
party atmosphere synonymous with Revolution.

The upstairs bar will also be completely transformed and will be the place to be for those
looking to indulge in one of the venue’s infamous cocktail making classes. Seamlessly
mixing fun with education, it’s one of the town’s most popular events for anyone hosting a
hen party or special celebration.

With all-new booth seating and a brand-new VIP bar, it will be the best bottle to table experience in town, and the ideal spot for people-watching with views of the bar below.

Millionaire Martini

Guests will be able to enjoy Revolution’s extensive collection of both classic and bespoke
cocktails, ranging from the decadent Millionaire Martini with its mix of Grey Goose and
Kahlua to the fruity Mango & Passion Fruit Daiquiri.

Diners can expect the same unique take on modern bar food Revolution has become
famous for, including the mighty Brooklyn Mac ‘n’ Chicken Burger. With its irresistible combo of crispy fried chicken and Brooklyn Beer mac ‘n’ cheese, it’s no wonder this National Burger Awards finalist has wowed food critics and customers alike.

Revolution’s signature sharing platters allow everyone to join in, with tasty veggie and vegan versions available alongside the classic House Sharer. The extensive pizza menu is also returning, with all options now blessed with extra tasty hand-stretched sourdough bases, authentic Italian tomato sauce and mozzarella. Corn Dogs, Halloumi Fries, Vegan Fried Chicken and Tempura Prawns are just four of many dishes available on the Grazin’ menu.

Carbon Neutral

The brand is also continuing its mission to be carbon neutral by 2030, after hitting the
headlines in 2021 for its forward-thinking tactics. One of just a handful of UK-based
companies to sign up to the pledge to hit net-zero, the Revolution Bars Group won the
prestigious Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice for their commitment to the
scheme.

One notable change for the brand was the decision to remove the passion fruit halves from
its Pornstar Martini cocktail, replacing them with a rice paper alternative. Before removing
passion fruit from their bestselling cocktail (Revolution sell over 1m across the UK each
year), they were shipping 36 tonnes from South America to the UK, only for them to be used as a garnish.

The group has also continued their drive to reduce energy usage, dropping this
by an impressive 19% since 2017.

Speaking ahead of the launch, general Manager Matthew Hodges said, “Revolution Wilmslow has been central to the nightlife action in town since opening, but we felt the time had come to up the ante. The new design is nothing short of breath-taking and will allow us to remain at the top of our game. The attention to detail is incredible – everything
from the high-tech lighting system to the plush VIP Ciroc seating area just pops.

“It’s the perfect setting for a memorable night out. We’re also determined to hit our carbon
neutral goal by 2030 and have worked hard to make some key changes for the better. We
can’t wait to welcome our regulars back to see the transformation.’’
