A mix of rock, harmony, country and life…new band DoveTales have flown in.Watch their city debut at Salford’s Eagle Inn this Saturday, December 8.

DoveTales are the harmonic rock, folk and country four-piece you haven’t heard of yet, but when you do, you’ll be hooked by their infectious songs and soul-searching lyrics.

Singer Stef Rose, guitarist Johnny Evans and drummer Chris Joyce met 12 years ago when they formed The Sylvias. The group went on to play together for five successful years before family commitments led to an early sabbatical. Now with Chris Livesey joining them on bass, the remodelled new band are back and armed with a string of singles.

DoveTales will be making their debut city gig at The Eagle Salford, showcasing their new material. Listeners can expect a treasure trove of original songs that combine beauty, existentialism, honesty and charm, including Lost You Again – their masterful debut that’s fraught with emotion.

Reflecting on the song’s meaning, Stef, the group’s Finnish lead singer and songwriter, said: “To me, this song is about trying to talk somebody out of running away from themselves. It’s letting them know they are not alone, that it can be done together. That they are important. More than they could possibly know. To somebody else, this song might mean something else!”

She added: “We’re really excited about our upcoming gig at The Eagle in Salford! It will be our first of hopefully many gigs in the city, and we’re looking forward to showcasing our stuff, meeting lots of new friendly faces, and hopefully creating new fans of DoveTales!”
