Police have arrested a five man on suspicion of murder almost two months after the death of 48 year old Leigh Smith in Eccles.
The seventeen year old who cannot be named for legal reasons has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.
Three other males, also aged 17, have been charged with murder and were remanded into custody when they appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on 29 June 2021.
A fourth 17-year-old has been bailed pending further investigation.
The body of Leigh was found at an address on Cook Street, Eccles, on the 22 June
