A Cheadle Hulme pub and hotel has reopened following a major revamp.

The Governors House, on Ravenoak Road, officially reopened on Friday 10 December following a six-figure makeover, with the pub and all 10 bedrooms undergoing a complete refurbishment.

The new surroundings feature a home-from-home feel, complete with lovingly cooked food, perfectly presented drinks and a great atmosphere. The pub boasts new décor, with zoning for dining and drinks. Whether it’s a catch up with friends, a family meal, or a relaxed drink after a long day at work, the location offers is a hub for the whole community.

The Governors House is located just six miles from Manchester Airport and is conveniently situated with easy access to local motorway networks, making it the perfect location for commuters travelling in the UK or further afield. A perfect base for exploring Cheshire, Manchester or the Peak District, visitors can also enjoy the very best of Cheadle when visiting family and friends in the area.

The renovated bedrooms include both single and double occupancy, as well as several larger family rooms which can sleep up to four guests. As well as a new cosy interior, each room is complete with free Wi-Fi and a luxurious Hypnos bed – ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable sleep and wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Maxine Mortimer, general manager at the Governors House Hotel, said: “The Governors House is the ideal location to stay for any occasion – whether a professional trip, a visit to see friends and family, or a stop off before travelling further afield.

“The refurbishment of the hotel has really brought a new lease of life, and with improved facilities, we are pleased to be able to offer guests an even better dining, drinking, and hotel experience with us.

“We’ve already had great feedback from regulars and visitors alike, and are looking forward to welcoming more of our Cheadle Hume guests over the coming weeks.”
