The Great Northern has recently welcomed Manchester’s hottest Polish restaurant, Platzki. Taking residence opposite Whistle Punks, the popular axe-throwing destination, the restaurant will serve up Polish fusion food at a reasonable price.

If you still need convincing here are five facts about the new Polish eatery.

  1. PLATZKI CHANGE THEIR MENU EVERY WEEK

The kitchen staff keep things fresh and interesting by changing their menu every week, including a special weekend menu, making it the perfect place to re-visit.

2. PLATZKI’S MENU IS A MODERN TWIST ON POLISH FOOD

Not tried many Polish delicacies? This funky restaurant offers a modern fusion twist of flavours from Poland and is guaranteed to be something entirely different. Try their Gym Platzki, Potato Dumplings or the Spicy Pork. There is also always a vegetarian soup option, packed full of fresh vegetables, and vegan friendly.

3. IT’S PROBABLY THE BEST VALUE FOOD YOU CAN GET IN MANCHESTER

With prices as low as £4.00 for soup, and only £7 for a healthy beetroot and salmon salad it’s affordable as well as delicious. And with breakfast being arguably everyone’s favourite meal of the day, try Platzki’s brunch menu if you’re tired of eating the same old avocado on toast.

4. LIKE LIVE MUSIC AND QUIRKY EVENTS?

Once a month, Platzki hosts a variety of open events and live music with free sample food and low prices on a selection of Polish alcohol.

5. HIRE OUT FOR A PRIVATE FUNCTION

Platzki can be hired out for private functions, or you can enjoy their innovative food at your own events with their external catering service.

It seems likely that Platzki will offer something fresh and interesting to the Manchester dining scene.

Centre Director for Great Northern Mark Schofield said, “We’re always keen to support independent businesses like Platzki, and we’re glad we can offer a new international cuisine to the Great Northern.”

Platzki is open from 12:00 every Wednesday to Sunday, closing times are Wednesday 18:00, Thursday 19:00, Friday and Saturday 22:00 and 19:00 on a Sunday.
