Voluminous hair has always been in fashion, but attaining volume can be a challenge, especially with thin and fine hair.

First, you should try applying hair masks, oils, and care products in a planned routine so that your hair gets nourished regularly. Next, follow these four styling tips to help you create mass in thin hair.

Dry your Roots

Underneath your scalp, there are sebaceous glands that produce sebum. Sebum is a necessary oil secreted to keep your scalp moist and healthy, but if you shampoo too much, it may cause an overproduction of sebum and result in a build-up.

One of the most common reasons why fine hair looks so flat is the overproduction of sebum. To give your hair a voluminous look, shampoo your hair every other day. Use a dry shampoo or other products to keep your roots dry.

Use Volumizing Spray

If you want to attain hair that has magnitude but is not stiff, use a volumizing spray. Volumizing spray is applied to dry hair for producing bounce. Use the spray to accentuate the crown of your head.

You can also try texturizing spray for giving body to the hair strands. You may curl your straight hair and then use texturizing spray for adding bulk. If you have curly hair, a texturizing spray will single out the strands and give it volume, but if you have straight hair, it will lift your ends and give your hair body.

Blow Dry Hair, Upside Down

The hair on our scalp grows in the backward direction, away from our face. The hair has less volume when it is fashioned in the order of its growth. This is why when you change your part from one direction to the other, there is a massive difference in the height of the hair.

Turn your head upside down and dry your hair. Once the hair is 70% dry, take a round brush and style your hair away from your face. Styling your hair in the opposite direction of its growth, i.e., styling the roots towards your face and the hair away from your face, will make them look voluminous and thick.

Try Hair Extensions

One of the easiest ways to get volume in your hair is using hair extensions. You can use clip-in or tape hair extensions for attaining the required volume in your hair. Tape hair extensions are recommended for thin and fine hair as they stay in the hair for a longer time and are evenly distributed in your hair by a professional.

You need three bags of tape hair extensions to cover your entire head. These extensions can be reused once taken off.

Voluminous hair can make you look radiant and fresh. Many people opt for harsh methods such as backcombing to achieve this look which causes hair damage. Get instant length and volume with no more split ends by using various hair extensions.

The techniques mentioned above will get you voluminous hair without damaging them too much.
