Edward Skinner aged 36 of Lamb Close, Manchester was charged with five counts of thefts from motor vehicle offences and remanded into custody.

He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today.

Sergeant Alex Vernon of GMP’s City of Manchester Neighbourhood Crime Team said: “Having your car broken into and losing your things to thieves can be very distressing and GMP will be relentless in our pursuit of tackling crime in our communities.

“Our officers recently received several reports regarding vehicle crimes in the area including theft from motor vehicles across the City of Manchester and this charge is a direct action in response to these incidents.
