Men wielding machetes and wearing a pig mask, robbed a man in Bury last week, police have revealed.
Three masked men, one wearing a pig’s mask, had approached the victim’s house on Sixth avenue around 10pm on Wednesday night and went through the back garden to the kitchen door, which they forced open.
Once inside, they threatened the 31-year-old victim with machetes and a taser, demanding that he give them money.
They then kicked the victim repeatedly in the face, before leaving the house.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Detective Constable Gordon Milne of GMP’s Bury Borough, said: “These men forced their way into the victim’s home, attacking him and damaging his sense of security.
“I can only imagine how terrified he must have been to be met with these three masked men who forced their way into his home, and threatened him with weapons.
“I’m asking for anyone who heard a disturbance in the area at the time, or who saw someone wearing a pig mask, to please come forward and help with our investigation.”
