A 31 year old man is in a critical but stable condition after a stabbing on Peter Street Deansgate in the early hours of this morning
No arrests have been made and enquires are ongoing after police found the individual around 3.30am
Chief Inspector Mike Tachauer of GMP’s City of Manchester Central team said: “Whilst no arrests have been made, I’d like to reassure residents and the wider community that we believe this was a targeted attack and there is no wider threat to the community.
“Our investigation is working at pace to establish those responsible for this. There is currently a scene in place around Peter Street and officers will continue to be in the area to provide reassurance.”
