Dean Farrell of Redesmere Close, Droylsden has been charged with murder and has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates court today.
The charge follows an incident at a property in the same road in the early hours of Friday morning when 47-year-old was taken to hospital in a critical condition with stab wounds.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was sadly pronounced dead a short while later.
