Two men, aged 18 and 19 have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody for questioning after a 14 year old girl died after being hit by a car in St Helens.

The incident happened say Merseyside Police around 9.50pm last night on Blackbrook Road.

The girl was taken to hospital where she sadly died.

Her family have been informed and are being supported at this time.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, CCTV, or dashcam footage.
